Music lovers here in Tampa who fondly remember one of the most successful and talented bands of the 1970s, Fleetwood Mac, are in for a treat this fall, as the tribute band Rumours of Fleetwood Mac will hold one performance in early November.
Fleetwood Mac owed much of its success to its tendency to feature different lead singers on different songs, e.g. Christine McVie, Lindsey Buckingham, and Stevie Nicks. Adding to the attraction was the band's ability to write extremely catchy songs, most of which were sung with harmony from bandmates, and textured and interwoven oftentimes with complex instrumentals. And then there was Buckingham's world class guitar playing.
To faithfully recreate the sound of Fleetwood Mac, the team behind RoFM has put together an ensemble of seven highly skilled singers and musicians, that together have found a way to recreate the songs they perform so well that they are sometimes indistinguishable from the originals. The tribute band has been performing together since 1999 and can be seen and heard on various social media and music sites.
Fans of iconic bands like Fleetwood Mac and tribute bands often wear clothing bearing their band's Logo Design or graphic design often originally created by Print shops back in the day.
Rumours of Fleetwood Mac will be performing at Ferguson Hall in the Straz Center, 1010 North Macinnes Place Wednesday, November 8th starting at 7:30 pm. Ticket prices range from $76 to $116.
