Four shows scheduled for Tampa's America 250th celebration

Tampa's Riverwalk has four events scheduled as part of its 4th of July celebration this year.

Friends of the Tampa Bay Riverwalk will hold their annual July 4th Water Ski Show at the Tampa Convention Center beginning at 5:00 pm and at Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park beginning at 6:15 pm.

The Annual July 4th Boat Parade of jet skis and boats decked out in their patriotic finery will begin at 6:15 pm at the lighthouse and end at the Armature Works. Armature Works and the Convention Center Basin will both hold fireworks displays beginning at 9:00 pm with fireworks also at the Julian B. Lane Park at 9:15 pm and at 9:30 pm at the American Victory Ship.

The Humane Society of Tampa Bay Patriotic Pet Show around 5:00 pm. This will be a costume contest for patriotically dressed pets. The show will be part of the Liberty by the Bay at Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park.

The Glazer Children’s Museum Kids Liberty Procession at approximately 6:45 p.m. will be a costume parade for kids where children will be wearing costumes depicting different American history taking part in a short procession along the Riverwalk. Participants may either bring their own costumes or create them on site at craft stations.
