From noon to 4:00 pm, the Gasparilla Air Invasion will feature vintage military aircraft, civilian aerobatic teams, and a parachute demonstration.
Primrose Schools will have their annual Gasparilla Preschooler's Stroll from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Tampa tykes dressed in their pirate costumes will be riding in trikes, wagons, and strollers down Bayshore Boulevard. Preregistration is required.
Older kids will be in the Children's Gasparilla Parade, marching down Bayshore Boulevard between 4:00 pm and 6:15 pm.
Parents often take pictures of their little ones wearing their pirate attire to local Print shops to be added to family newsletters.
A Nighttime Gasparilla Air Invasion will run from 6:15 pm to 7:00 pm, with the Pyrotechnic Finale from 7:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Along with the pyrotechnics the Krewe will rage a battle between pirates and the City of Tampa that will set the tone for the Gasparilla Pirate Fest coming the following week.
