Renowned band to perform final set of shows

A widely popular and pioneering group is set to bid farewell to touring life, and a concert scheduled for early July is sure to be a great time for Tampa area residents.

Foreigner was formed by Mick Jones, with Lou Gramm providing the leading voice for many of the band’s most iconic tunes. In total, there have been over 30 members in the years Foreigner has been together. The current roster includes Mick Jones, Jeff Pilson, Kelly Hansen, Bruce Watson, Michael Bluestein, Luis Maldonado, and Chris Frazier. Jones describes the band’s music as a unique blend of British rock, R&B, blues/Mississippi blues, and country/western sounds, taking elements from both local songs and genres, as well as some American styles.

A small number of the group’s many hits include “Cold as Ice,” “Jukebox Hero,” “I Want to Know What Love Is,” and “Hot Blooded.”

The Historic Farewell Tour will stop by the venue known as MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre, which is placed on FL State Fairgrounds. The group Loverboy will be providing support at the event. Merch will be sold before and after the concert. With items sold at similar productions, some will often show the artist’s Logo Design. Live Nation has tickets for sale starting at $29.50, and going up to $1,575.

The experience is set for a 7:00pm start time, with the performance date being July 9th.
