R&B artists to team up for new tour

A reunited band has come together for an exciting tour, with a show set for Tampa in late April.

New Edition is a group consisting of Bobby Brown, Johnny Gill, Ricky Bell, Ralph Tresvant, Ronnie DeVoe, and Michael Bivins. The group’s biggest hit so far came in the 1980s with “Candy Girl.” Three of the members formed another group named Bell Biv DeVoe, while others went on to have solo records. The full group eventually reunited and has continued to produce records and tour since.

Other songs recorded by the group include “Count Me Out,” “Popcorn Love,” “My Secret (Didja Gitit Yet?),” “Mr. Telephone Man,” “Can You Stand The Rain,” “Hot 2 Nite,” and “Lost In Love.”

The Legacy Tour will also feature sets by Guy, Keith Sweat, and Tank. The venue for the local concert is the Amalie Arena. VIP tickets are available for $220 and $305. Both bundles include an exclusive piece of merchandise, a reserved spot at the show, a keepsake ticket, early entry and merch shopping, staff just for VIPs, and a lithograph. The more expensive package also includes a laminate with a graphic design inspired by the tour.

All tickets can be purchased via Ticketmaster, with the values ranging from $59.50 to $549.50. The show is set for a starting time of 7:00pm on April 30th.
