A legendary band is stopping by a Tampa stage in mid-June, along with a few supporting acts.
Duran Duran started off in 1980, touring as an opener for Hazel O’Connor, and recording one of their biggest songs before even being signed to a label. In the years since, the group has been through line-up switches and continued fame, releasing 15 full albums and taking home many accolades. The current active line-up is John Taylor, Nick Rhodes, Roger Taylor, and Simon Le Bon. The members who were included in the group’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction in addition to this quartet are Andy Taylor and Warren Cuccurullo.
A few of Duran Duran’s most popular tunes are “Girls on Film,” “Hungry Like the Wolf,” “Rio,” and “Hold Back the Rain.”
The Future Past Tour will see Bastille and Nile Rodgers & CHIC provide supporting performances for the local show. Tickets that are a first time purchase (not resale seats) will come with a commemorative ticket in digital form at no additional cost. These, along with some resale tickets, can be bought on Ticketmaster. Pricing ranges between $47 and $2,453. Merchandise showcasing a graphic design that ties into the tour, the performers, or some of their work is frequently sold at events like this.
The concert will start at 7:00 pm on Saturday, June 17, taking place in the Amalie Arena.
