Emo pop legends take tour to Tampa

A popular band will be bringing its latest touring venture to Tampa in early October.

Panic! At the Disco was started by Ryan Ross and Spencer Smith, who later brought in Brent Wilson and Brendon Urie. Over the years, members have come and gone, with only Urie left today as a “full-time member” after Dallon Weekes was shifted back to being a “touring member.” With roots in the “emo pop” genre, the group experimented with a variety of sounds and themes. The group have remained popular ever since their debut record in 2005. A few songs to their name are “I Write Sins Not Tragedies,” “The Ballad of Mona Lisa,” “High Hopes,” “Viva Las Vengeance,” and “Hey Look Ma, I Made It.”

The Viva Las Vengeance Tour will be coming to the Amalie Arena, with opening acts Jake Wesley Rogers and MARINA. A VIP bundle is available in two options. For $241.75 buyers will get a host, premium ticket, entrance, and some merchandise items, a few of which have a graphic design relating to the tour and the band. For $311.75, attendees will get the previously mentioned perks as well as a laminate and access to a lounge area. Those who are 21 or older can use the cash bar.

Regular and resale tickets range in price from $26.75 to $1,124. A dollar from every ticket purchased will be donated to the Highest Hope Foundation, assisting a variety of non-profits with a focus on human rights.

The concert will kick off at 7:00 pm on October 5.
