Orlando plans major updates to football stadium
A major renovation project will be taking place at Camping World Stadium in Orlando.
The renovation is expected to cost $400 million and will come from the Tourist Development Tax (TDT) revenues which the Orange County Board of County Commissioners approved for multiple projects earlier this year. The City Council has approved the financial terms for the TDT and will enter a Joint Project Agreement with Florida Citrus Sports Events, Inc. This will enable the two entities to determine their respective responsibilities and roles and make decisions about the improvements. The goal is to make the stadium more competitive so it can attract more and better events.
Among the improvements would be a new north endzone tower, the expansion of the south endzone field, replacement of the terrace level concourse and amenities, and replacement of the seating in the upper bowl. There would also be a new retractable seating system in the south endzone as well as better lighting, parking, and Wi-Fi around the stadium, enhanced premium entries, and modernization of the stadium to include fire alarm systems, security, better heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, and video displays.
More details about such planned renovations and their benefits for a community can be provided with brochure printing.
Construction is expected to start next year and be completed in time for the college football season in 2027.
