Military veterans and their families will want to circle the date in their Calendars next month, as a veterans’ remembrance ceremony is in the works for Ocoee.
The Veterans’ Day Ceremony, organized by the City of Ocoee, will begin soon. It will welcome area military veterans and their families to a warm event that recognizes their sacrifice and courage and pays tribute to the men and women who have served in the US Armed Forces.
The City of Ocoee proudly welcomes retired Marine Corps Major Barron Mills to the ceremony as the keynote speaker. Mills served in the Marine Corps for 20 years after growing up in a military family and has served on five continents and various countries. Banner printing is a fantastic way to thank the individuals being honored at such ceremonies while providing space for sponsor logos who support the cause.
The Ocoee Middle School will attend to play a medley of songs that fit the patriotic theme of the celebrations. The Honor Guard will be composed of members of the Ocoee Police Department and a wreath will be placed on the Ocoee Memorial Wall.
The ceremony will be held in downtown Ocoee on Thursday, November 7, with events commencing at noon and ending at 1:00 PM. Attendance is free, and interested parties can find more information online.
