Stay tuned for new date for Easter Egg drop
The annual Egg Ocoee Drop has been postponed to a later date, so the Ocoee community will have to hold off on Easter festivities.
Originally planned for April 11, organizers have said they are now looking to arrange a new date, so although it will not be as seasonal as planned, they hope it will be just as much fun.
Once the event is set up, the Glad Tidings Church will be launching thousands of plastic eggs from the sky by flying a helicopter over the building. Children can begin their Easter egg hunt after the eggs have been dropped onto the nearby fields. On a single day, there could be well over 20,000 eggs waiting to be found.
There are three Egg Drop activities for children to play in. The kids are going to be split into age groups and assigned into four different zones. Children will get to collect eggs in a basket and add to their candy stash this year. They can take pictures with the Easter bunny, play field games, jump inside an inflatable bouncy house, or participate in other activities like painting eggs.
This celebration is made possible by donations from Glad Tidings Church so admission is free of charge. In total, 150 volunteers will be supervising on-site as hundreds of children could gather at the egg drop. Only 1-2 parents are permitted in a zone if they need to attend to their children. The egg hunt area is open at different times to each age group, starting at 9:30 am.
Banner printing is a great way to signal where festivities are taking place by directing patrons towards vendors or activity stations.
