Residents to rev up their vehicles for charity
The Legacy of Service Car and Bike Show fundraiser is on its way to the area. A fundraiser for Feed and Fortify of Orange County, it will help pay for a planned trip to Brazil to deliver 400lb of donations to those in need in Sao Paulo.
Anyone can register their motorcycles or cars for the show, which is free to attend. Fees for bikes are $10 in advance or $15 on the day of the show, while cars are $20 in advance or $25 on the day. Participants will be competing for such prizes as best paint, people's choice, best rims, most unique, and oldest running.
Plenty of entertainment has been planted out, including a bikers’ fashion show, free Zumba, a DJ, and a dominoes tournament. There will also be an auction for those who would like to get their hands on an item. The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Metro Orlando will be handing out school supplies while they last, and visitors are encouraged to donate to this.
It is likely that participants will come from all over the area to show off their vehicles, including nearby Ocoee. To help let the community know about it, organizers may have invested in products such as flyers and brochures.
The show is being held at the International Vintage Flea Market in Orlando on August 9 from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm. For more information, call 407-900-9761.
