Public invited to participate in Ocoee area golf cart parade
A parade is a popular holiday tradition in many communities. One has been planned near Ocoee, but instead of marchers and motorized floats, this one will feature much smaller vehicles.
Winter Garden will be hosting its 6th annual Christmas Golf Cart Parade, and everyone is welcome to join in the spirit of the celebration. The registration fee is $45, and all of the proceeds raised will be used to benefit people who live in the local area.
The participants will be gather in Bradford Park before heading out so they can socialize and compare their efforts. After this, they will hit the road and tour the Winter Garden downtown core. To thank the entries for participating, prizes will be awarded for the best decorated cart, so those who plan on getting involved are reminded to get creative.
The monies raised through this event will be donated to The West Orange Junior Service League, which will then distribute the funds to charities in West Orange. Information packages can be prepared ahead of time to give to each person who registers for this type of function, and these can be created by area print shops.
