Ocoee puts on reading event

The Ocoee Library will host a reading session this November for their residents.

The event will feature interactive Books to engage students’ attention as they pick up habits for reading. The event is particularly geared towards those in preschool, or at the ages critical to developing reading competencies. It will use songs, storybooks with pictures, and oral storytelling to inspire. The aim is to have children speaking, writing, reading, and playing at the session’s conclusion.

The class is an initiative by the Winter Garden Branch of the Orange County Public Library System. The center dedicates itself to offering educational resources to the Ocoee community. These resources include workshops and Books. The branch is curated to give children an environment where they can develop social skills while learning. They offer those who are keen to learn an area where they may welcome the hands-on opportunity to explore.

The cost for attendance will be free. The organizers ask that those who are sick, or have been in contact with anyone testing positive for Covid-19, to stay home. Additionally, for the health and safety of all participants, the program guideline may require a mask to be worn.

The session takes place on Friday, November 18 at the Winter Garden Program Area This is located in Ocoee, Florida. It begins at 10:15 am and ends at 10:40 am.
