Ocoee parade to be filled with festive fun
When it comes to their favorite holiday traditions, a parade is often high on the list for many, and one planned for Ocoee is right around the corner.
This annual celebration, which will be presented through support from the City of Ocoee as well as the local Lions Club, will once again be welcoming this festive time of year. It tends to be a real crowd pleaser, and the planners are hoping this year will be no exception.
The procession will include a wide variety of bands, marches, floats, and other entries, and with many business, organizations and individuals taking part, it will be a true community effort. It will begin at the intersection of Enterprise Street and Maguire Road, and if the weather is inclement, a rain date has been set. It will wrap up at the Municipal Lakefront Park located at Ocoee City Hall. The public can view photos of the event afterwards on the Facebook page of the Ocoee Lions Club.
Many of the participants in this type of activity use banners or other large printed items to decorate their float or other entry. Banner printing and other services can be sourced from a printer in the local area.
This year's Ocoee Christmas Parade will be hitting the road on December 5, and it will begin at 1:00 pm. The rain date will be December 6, and the start time on this day will be 2:00 pm.
