Ocoee gives back this holiday season
The Food For Families organization will host a charity packing and sorting event this December.
The event is open to all residents, and offers the public a chance to contribute to making a difference for the holiday season. The aim of this event will be to attract over 100 people who can work together to make the project successful.
The entire family is welcome to offer aid. It is also open to larger volunteer groups, or company teams. These groups are welcome to wear matching paraphernalia when participating, such as team shirts.
The Food For Families organization celebrates its 30th year operating in and around Central Florida. It proudly serves over 1,000 families in the area. The organization frequently hosts events such as these, where members of the public may work together to make an impact.
For this event, social distancing will be mandatory. Patrons may also wear masks if they wish. However, attendees will have the opportunity to socialize and strengthen their commitment with the community. They may also meet like-minded people during the proceedings.
