Ocoee area volunteer opportunity open to all
Many people want to play their part in creating a positive change in the world, and an Ocoee area event will offer them a way to put their hands to work in service of others.
People of all ability levels are invited to be a part of United against Poverty’s Volunteer Night. A variety of tasks need to be performed, and supports will be on site so that everyone can have an opportunity to make a difference in their community.
The evening will be a family-friendly event, and the participants will clean shelves, stock and sort materials, and also help to prepare for an assortment of special events. Facilitators trained in American Sign Language and both physical and occupational therapists will be on hand to help those who are hearing impaired or have other challenges that may require additional support and assistance.
To thank the participants for their assistance, the volunteers will be treated to pizza and other refreshments at the end of the session. Poster, flyers and other promotional products can help to make sure an event like this is a huge success.
This evening of community service in support of their neighbors in need will be offered to residents of Ocoee on February 8, The venue will be located at 150 West Michigan Street in Orlando.
