Martin Luther King parade scheduled for Ocoee residents
City planners and organizers are hard at work to provide a new and uniting experience this winter by celebrating the life and legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr.
The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Celebration will welcome visitors in a few weeks. It will provide individuals from Ocoee with an opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments and dreams of one of the 20th century’s most influential people.
The annual celebration includes live music and entertainment, activities for the whole family, and a parade that meanders through town. Attendees can count on vendors to be in attendance to sell drinks and food options. Interested parties are also eligible to register for and participate in the parade. Banner printing is a visible and effective way to welcome attendees to such community events while promoting event sponsors and local brands.
Visitors are encouraged to stop by local eateries and cafes to support the small business economy. Sugar Vibe and Selwyn Birchwood are the musicians lined up for the 2025 parade. Public parking and a shuttle service are available to help attendees get to and from their cars with less stress and difficulty.
The parade activities will start at the Downtown Pavilion at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 20th. The celebrations will continue until 4:00 PM. Attendance is free, and interested parties can RSVP and learn more about food vendors online.
