Local winery celebrates harvest time
The 24th Harvest Festival is taking place over three days this June in nearby Clermont. It will be hosted by the Lakeridge Winery and Vineyards.
This annual festival attracts a variety of people of all ages. This year's festival will feature music from artists such as the Nightly Blues Band, Airtight and the Groovemasters. There are also going to be family activities including the "stomping of the grapes" in which anyone of any age can participate. Food, wine, beer and soft drinks will be available for purchase throughout the day. Winery tours and tastings are also set to be included in the day's activities.
In addition, over 80 arts and crafts vendors will be on hand to sell items like jewelry, paintings and sculptures. Vendors can rent a 10 x 10 foot space for $125 or $230 for two.
It's likely that most of the artisans will come from nearby communities such as Ocoee. Many of them may decide to contact local postcard printing companies to provide them with a large-format business card that they can hand out to those who stop by their booth.
