Library hosts meetup in Ocoee
A homeschool meetup will be held by the Orange County Library System this September.
The event aims to give children a place to socialize and have fun, while meeting others like themselves. It will also be a great opportunity for each of these students to share resources, tips, and ideas about the homeschooling experience. The event is open to both teens and pre-teens.
Much of the event will focus on having the attendees interact with each other through board games. Students are free to bring their own or they may use ones that are already available at the venue.
For those who require special accommodations, prior notice should be made to the organizers in order for the appropriate arrangements to be made.
This event will be free for all to attend. In keeping with the health and safety guidelines regarding Covid-19, those who prefer may wear a mask. Otherwise, those who are feeling ill or have recently tested positive for the virus are urged to stay home.
Print shops offer creative ways to find interactive and engaging material for use at events such as this one.
