What's Happening in Ocoee, FL…

Easter egg hunt to make Ocoee glow

To celebrate the Easter holiday, the City of Ocoee will hold a special Glow in the Dark Easter Egg Hunt for families to enjoy in April.

One of several Easter egg hunts happening in the Orlando area, the City of Ocoee’s inaugural Easter egg hunt will provide a special layer of fun for kids in search of adventure. The event will feature a Glow Zone where children search for tell-tale signs of glowing eggs in the darkness of the night.

The hunt will be divided up by different age groups. Children ages 5 to 7 will begin their hunt at 7:45 pm, while ages 8 to 12 will start theirs at 8:15 pm. There will also be a DJ on hand spinning family-friendly tunes to add to the festive atmosphere.

To comply with COVID-19 guidelines, space will be limited to 50 participants. Advance registration is required, and organizers advise those interested to register as soon as possible. To reserve a spot for their child, parents can email adorsey@ocoee.org, and they can learn more by calling the Parks & Recreation Department at 407-905-3180.

The hunt will happen on Friday, April 12 at the Jim Beech Recreation Center. The address is 1820 A.D. Mims Road, Ocoee. Print shops may be useful for organizers needing flyer printing services to create colorful flyers advertising such events.
