What's Happening in Ocoee, FL…

Construction of new Ocoee project set to begin in earnest

With the initial stages of construction well underway, City Center West Orange in Ocoee is proceeding along as scheduled, and the building of the main portion of the development should begin this coming February.

The $150m project, which is being constructed by Park Development Corporation, is close to a wide variety of amenities, and its location on the lakeshore on Main Street will put it within easy reach of the Florida Turnpike. It is also right across from a large hospital, and close to some major theme park attractions.

The first phase of the project will be 500 units for families, 150,000 square feet for restaurants and other retail enterprises, 50,000 of office space, and also a hotel.

As other phases of the development are completed, the plan is for there to be 2,000 apartments, and 500,000 square feet of space for retail concerns, including shops, a theater, and also a grocery store. The price for the residential units is set to start at $170,000 and go up from there, depending on their size and features. A printer can prepare presentation folders for prospective buyers that contain information about the development, brochures describing the units available, and also artists’ conceptual drawings of what they will look like when they are done.

According to David Townsend, who is Park Development Corporation’s CEO, it will offer a convenient lifestyle, and he expects it will prove very attractive to both empty nesters and millennials alike.
