Classic movie to get Ocoee makeover
The premiere of an interpretation of The Color Purple will be taking place in Ocoee this December.
Alice Walker’s 1982 novel The Color Purple is a narrative that spans generations, revealing a story of love, resilience, and a woman's journey toward independence. Celie, the central character, navigates through life's hardships, discovering profound hope and strength within the strong bond of sisterhood.
The Orlando Alumnae Chapter Delta Sigma Theta Sorority’s Delta Red Carpet Premiere is a platform supporting quality television projects and films portraying African American individuals across various media. It is a call for authentic representation, urging both independent creators and mainstream studios to accurately depict the richness of the community.
Seat selection responsibility lies with the buyer, and once purchased, changes or relocations will not be permitted. Tickets will no longer be available once the showing is full. Presentation of tickets, either in print or on a mobile device, is mandatory for entry. All ticket purchases are non-refundable. However, transfers are possible with prior notification via email to info@oacdst.org.
The cost to attend is $15 and tickets can be bought through the Eventbrite listing. Poster printing can be a great way to provide information about movie premieres such as this one.
The show will be Sunday, December 30, and will begin at 2:00 pm. The event will take place at AMC West Oaks 14, 9415 West Colonial Drive, Ocoee.
