Children to get painting in Ocoee

A children’s art event is to be held in Ocoee in just over a week.

Canvas and Capri-Suns offers beginner-friendly painting lessons to children in the community. The event is put on by artist Dafeney Josue. She creates acrylic paintings with a variety of subjects, but primarily focuses on African American themed art. With this session, she aims to encourage children who have an appreciation for art to learn the basics of painting.

Pre-registration is mandatory, and registration will close one day before the event’s date. The organizers advise patrons to arrive approximately 15 minutes early to find parking and access the mall to ensure a smooth experience. This event is open to participants aged 5 to 13 years old. Parents, grandparents, or caregivers are welcome to accompany the young painters.

The cost for registration will be $25. Print shops can be a great way for organizers to provide useful materials to attendees at events such as this one.

This event will take place on October 7 at A Perfect Union Art Gallery at 9401 West Colonial Drive Unit 704, Ocoee. It begins at 12:00 noon.
