Big infrastructure enhancements on the way for Ocoee
Thanks to the approval of two master plans by the Ocoee City Commission and Ocoee City Hall, economic infrastructure will be put into place that could bring great benefits for the community.
The first measure was a budget adjustment that totaled $635,710. This will be applied to payments for the planned $14m bond issue to provide funding for the Ocoee Downtown Master Plan.
The funds will be used for a corridor between Silver Star Road and McKey Street. The Assistant City Manager, Craig Shadrix, pointed out that this will act as a block structure for the surrounding area.
The plan is for the improvements to the local infrastructure to begin immediately. A printer can use its graphic design abilities to create a variety of promotional products that will both keep the public in the loop about the latest developments and market the community to the world.
The State Road 429 Master Plan addresses the area around the State Road 429 Interchange at East Plant Street and West Franklin Street. It will seek to guide the development of the downtown area so that it will eventually extend as far as West Franklin Street.
A secondary benefit will ensure that the timing corresponds with improvements being made in Winter Garden. This will allow both communities to work together to create a hub for business and provide a better connection between Ocoee and the West Orange Trail.
