What's Happening in Ocoee, FL…

Annual event highlights cultural mix

The Winter Garden Culture Fest is taking place for two days this November. It is presented by the City of Winter Garden and the Florida Film Academy.

There will be a variety of activities taking place that should appeal to those of all ages and tastes. There are set to be street performers, a youth main stage, cultural displays, live music, and a film festival. Cultural performances and displays will make up part of the entertainment, as will children's activities such as a Punch and Judy show, an art auction, and the City Canvas light show. Arts and crafts vendors are expected to be selling handmade items. Food, beverages, and snacks will also be available for purchase.

In addition, guests can pick up a world passport and have it stamped at each cultural booth they visit, which many will no doubt keep as a souvenir.

This event is offers a way to learn about all of the cultures of the world and to help learn about those in the community who came from other countries. Visitors will likely come from all over the area, including nearby Ocoee, to enjoy the festival. Organizers may have invested in flyer printing to create an inexpensive item to distribute throughout the community.

The Winter Garden Culture Fest is taking place downtown from November 1 to 2. Admission is free. To find out more about planned activities, call 407-654-8400.
