The residents of Lakeland, Florida will be getting a new public and commercial hotspot.
Known as Mass Market, this go-to venue for weddings, gatherings, and community events will take over the space of a currently unused homeless assistance complex for the Salvation Army.
The Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) approved the project with a $5m bid, and two events commemorating its opening took place on March 18, starting with a public tour in the morning and concluding with a charity event in the evening.
The complex consists of Haus 820, a warehouse built in 1924 that will now serve as the main indoor venue. When speaking to the press, CRA manager Nicole Travis mentioned that the need for renovation was a large challenge for the project. Laura Helm, executive director of Haus Management and owner of the site, has confirmed that three events have already been booked at Mass Market.
Situated inside the warehouse is the nonprofit Artifact Studios, which will serve the needs of artists in Lakeland. This 16-slot studio and gallery will be run by local art personality Elizabeth Hults, who is confident that the property will bring valuable traffic into the underdeveloped area.
Mass Market will need several Copies of applications for customers to book events, which will require Stationery with the Mass Market logo. Local Stationery printers may also be able to assist with the Logo Design.
