The Aero-News Network and SUN ‘n FUN are combining efforts to bring a new aircraft expo to Lakeland.
The first Affordable Flying Expo has been scheduled for early November, an aerospace education initiative whose purpose is to inspire the next generation of aviators. Locals will have a chance to become more familiar with general flying, as the event is designed to maximize hands-on engagement with aircraft.
Some of the planned events include hands-on workshops, pilot interviews, demo flights, and engaging discussion forums. Paid registration is required, and all event proceeds will go to support Lakeland’s own Aerospace Center for Excellence. Business Cards and banner printing can be used to promote communication at conferences and expos.
The Affordable Flying Expo will be held November 6-8 at Lakeland Linder International Airport. Admission for a single day is $15 for adults and $5 for those 12-17 years old. The admission price for all three days is $35 for adults and $10 for those 12-17. Children under the age of 12 are admitted free at any day. Members of aviation associations such as the EAA, RAF, AOPA, 99s, and WAI receive discounted admission tickets.
Admission tickets can be purchased on the Affordable Flying Expo website. All attendees will receive free admission tickets to the Florida Air Museum. Parking is free for all attendees. This event will be held regardless of weather conditions.
