Naval Air Station Jacksonville will hold its annual NAS JAX Air Show, an event featuring military demonstrations and air acts, toward the end of October.
The two-day event will feature the United States Navy Blue Angels, civilian and military flight teams in an over-the-ocean sky show. The venue will offer civilian and military aircraft displays, food and beverage sales, and novelty items that may include miniature Blue Angel airplane models featuring the Angels Logo Design.
A Kids Zone full of activities and games will include a 36-foot turbo shuttle slide, and a “Blue Angel Obstacle Course”. The Northeast Florida Regional STEM2 Hub will be in the zone offering activities such as sensors building, exploring careers in space, circuit building and coding robots. The zone will be open from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday and wristbands will be $5.
First-come-first-served paid seating ($10) is available for the show in sections beside the show center and tickets can only be purchased the day of the show.
A special beer garden tent has been added. Tickets run $50 and will include seating for adults beside the show line. Everyone else is encouraged to bring blankets and chairs to set up by the flightline.
There will be a practice show the day before on October 21st for local school children and personnel with base access. The Kids zone will be free.
The NAS Jacksonville Air Show will be September 22nd and 23rd.
