Museum has several February in-person events

Jacksonville’s Museum of Science and History (MOSH), 1025 Museum Circle, has a few concerts and soirees scheduled for February.

This Saturda, February 6, from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm, The Bryan Gooding Planetarium will present one of its Cosmic Concerts. Guests will need to purchase $1 laser glasses to get the most enjoyment from the laser lights. The concert will also feature digital sound and high-definition imaging. This one will feature music from Queen. The play list will include Another One Bites the Dust, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, and Bohemian Rhapsody. Tickets will be $8 for MOSH members and $10 for everyone else.

The next evening on February 7, from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm, the Cosmic Concert will present “Lasermania.” Music will be a mix of hits from the 1950s through the 1990s. Another Cosmic Concert will be following from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm. This one is titled “Wish You Were Here,” featuring music from the Pink Floyd album of the same name.

On February 13 and 14, from 6:00 pm until 8:30, pm the museum will wine and dine eight couples per evening at its Sweetheart Soirees. Guests will be served a three-course dinner thanks to Biscottis and a champagne toast. They will also receive a tour of the museum and a special presentation by the Bryan-Gooding Planetarium. Tickets are $250.
