As has been the case for every Easter weekend since 1968, the Mandarin Community Club will be presenting its Mandarin Art Festival. The 2023 festival has been scheduled for early April.
The festive weekend will include skilled artists in pastel, watercolor, acrylic and oil paintings, jewelry, photography, mixed media (graphics, drawing, and printing), sculpture, glass, and functional fine crafts such as leather, wood, pottery, metal, and fiber.
Small local businesses will be participating in the Green Market. Here, vendors will be selling honey, soaps, jams, jellies, and baked goods. Many small businesses that participate in festivals like this often get some customized business card printing beforehand so they can get return business by including these Business Cards in with purchases.
The Mandarin Community Club and Mandarin Art Festival Bake Sale, inside the Clubhouse, is a tradition and the venue will also have plenty of food vendors. Money from the bake sale will go to the club’s beautification and preservation programs.
An annual prize drawing takes place Sunday afternoon. Prizes will be donated by local businesses, organizations, and sponsors. Tickets will be available at the prize table.
Nine Jacksonville elementary and four middle schools will be participating in this year’s Children’s Art Show. There will also be children’s art workshops and youth activities.
The Mandarin Art Festival will be held April 8 and 9th starting at 10:00 am at 12447 Mandarin Road.
