Jacksonville ushers in spring with festivals

March looks set to be a busy time for Jacksonville.

Jacksonville Beach will have its annual Sweet Life Music Fest on March 7 from noon until 8:00 pm. The Oceanfront at Seawalk Pavilion, 1st St. N, will have continuous live music performances and vendors will be selling food and merchandise.

That same weekend, Riverside Park, 753 Park Street will be in full swing with its first of the year Jax Veg Fest. This grassroots event will feature food, entertainment and local vendors. The fun starts at 10:00 am.

On March 14 and 15, from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm, Celestial Farms, 13958 Duval Road, commemorates March winds and National Plant a Flower Day (March 12) with its own Kite+Flower Festival. The two-day free event will have its pasture open for kite flying, and vendors will be selling flower, kite, and spring items. Everyone is invited to enjoy flower-related crafts and classes.

Photographers that attend events such as this often snap colorful pictures. They then take them to local Stationery printers to be made into notecards.

On March 28, Handmade Collectives will hold its spring Mad Hatter’s Festival 2020 from noon until 5:00 pm back at Riverside Park. Guests can enjoy a DJ and live music, adults-only cupcake eating contest, Easter egg hunts for the children, activities, games, a nonprofit raffle, and vendors. The Mad Hatter and Alice will be throwing a tea party and other Wonderland characters will be available for pictures.
