This month, animal lovers can sample some beer and wine while helping out their furry friends.
For the 16th year, the Jacksonville Humane Society will host a ‘Toast to the Animals’. Along with beverages, there will be appetizers as part of the event, which is for adults ages 21 and up.
The Jacksonville Humane Society gives animals a home while trying to find them a permanent one. People who are interested in adopting can view the animals' profiles online, or visit the adoptable pets at the Humane Society. Currently, there is no adoption fee for cats and dogs over three years of age, but for younger animals range from $75 to $125 dollars.
Along with adoption services, the organization is dedicated to protecting animals against cruelty. It also has pet training and hospital services. To inform the public of its programs and events, such organizations will often make use of brochure printers to make eye-catching handouts.
Tickets are $75 and can be purchased on the Humane Society’s website or by phone at (904)-493-4566. The profits will go to help the animals at the society.
The fun starts on September 20 at 6:30 pm and goes on until 10:00 pm. The event will be held at the Terrace Suite on EverBank Field, which is located at 1 Everbank Field Drive.
