Jacksonville jazz lovers are readying for the upcoming 36th Annual Jacksonville Jazz Fest coming at the end of May. The event will be free, but VIP tickets are available for preferential treatment.
Four stages will be presenting over 50 jazz performances. Fans will want to check with their favorite performers to see if they can get any Promotional Products.
A piano competition will kick things off. Five finalists will be competing for a cash prize and the winner will perform on the Main Stage during the festival.
There will be a free Jazz Jam Session presented by HOT99.5. This year the host group will be the Kelly/Scott Quintet. Local jazz student musicians will get the opportunity to sit in and play with the professional host ensemble and some of the festival’s jazz artists.
The Jacksonville Jazz Fest will be held Memorial Day Weekend May 25 through 28 in downtown Jacksonville. Friday the festival will run from 4:00 pm until midnight; Saturday it will open at 1:00 pm and close around midnight; and Sunday the fun will start at 1:00 pm and end at 11:00 pm. Music will start one hour after the event opens. The piano competition will be Friday at the Florida Theatre starting at 7:00 pm. The Jazz Jam Session will be from 10:00 pm until 1:00 am on the Hyatt Regency Mezzanine.
