Three festivals will be coming to Hemming Park over the next few weeks.
The first will be the Hispanic Heritage Celebration taking place tomorrow. This free three-hour event from 5:00 pm until 8:30 pm will be an evening of Hispanic dance, music and food.
Food trucks will include El Agrave Azul Jacksonville, Manny’s Cuban Food, and GuanaBana Ice Pops.
The free dance and music performances will include Caribe Groove, Orchestra Fuego, Mariachi Primera Costa, and Danzas Perujax. Monarch Ballroom & Dance Studio will be giving complimentary Latin dance lessons. This event will be family friendly and welcomes pets.
A few weeks later, on October 12, Friends of Hemming Park will present its annual free Fall Family Day. Food trucks will be serving fall treats and there will be live music. Guests can enjoy the petting zoo and select pumpkins in the Pumpkin Patch, while local vendors will be selling merchandise. This event will begin at 10:00 am and wind down around 3:00 pm.
Lastly, little ghosts and goblins will want to attend Halloween in Hemming on October 31 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm. Food trucks will be on site, DJ Professor Clock will be providing the music and there will be a costume contest.
When cities hold events like these, they usually like to have photographers take pictures that can be included in the brochure printing order for the town’s visitor guide.
