Jacksonville theater presents 2022 lineup

Jacksonville’s Ritz Theatre and Museum, 829 N. Davis Street, will be presenting five shows during the next few months.

Acclaimed British singer, songwriter, and guitarist Joanne Shaw Taylor will be on stage January 27 beginning at 7:30 pm. Showcasing her distinctive blues-rock style, this show will only have the standard $25 tickets.

Puttin’ On the Ritz Live will take place at 8:00 pm on February 4. Once again, the amateur night competition will return with contestants vying for bragging rights and cash prizes. Adult tickets will be $10.

The next evening, February 5, the Heritage Concert Series will take over the stage with its “The Legends of R&B”. In honor of Black History Month, the evening will pay tribute to the music of iconic rhythm & blues singers including Al Green, Gladys Knight, Stevie Wonder, and Chaka Khan. General admission will be $20 and orchestra tickets will be $25. The performance starts at 8:00 pm.
