Evergreen Cemetery will be holding its annual Evergreen Pumpkin Run in late October, with proceeds going to the Evergreen Cemetery Association.
The event will offer both a 10-mile run and a 5K with pumpkins lining the routes. Registration for the 5K will be $50 on race day, and $60 for the 10-mile. Gray and green long-sleeved shirts sporting the Pumpkin Run Halloween graphic design will go to all runners.
There will be a Halloween Costume Contest, with a $25 gift card going the scariest, funniest, and best overall costumes.
Race packets will be available October 25 and October 26 at 1st Place Sports stores based at Baymeadows, San Marco, Jax Beach, and St. Johns County, and at the race site before the race.
Awards for the 10-mile will go to top three women and men overall, and will be $200 for first place, $150 for second place, and $100 for third place. Awards will also go to the top three finishers both female and male across 14 age groups. For the 5k, awards will also go to the top three female and male finishers in 14 age groups, as well as for runners 10 years old and younger and those aged 11 to 13.
The after-party will have free drinks and food, and each 10-mile runner may take a pumpkin.
Evergreen Pumpkin Run will take place Sunday, October 27 at 4535 North Main Street.
