Local college football fans will not need to go far to get to the 80th TaxSlayer Gator Bowl, as the game will be played again this year right here in Jacksonville in early January.
Two top teams – one from the Southeastern Conference and one from the Atlantic Coast Conference – will compete and be announced soon.
Pep rallies will be held at the Jacksonville Beach Seawalk Pavilion on January 1. The ACC pep rally will take place at 4:00 pm with the SEC Team Pep Rally beginning an hour later at 5:00 pm. Cheerleaders and school bands from the opposing teams will be performing and cheering for their teams. The free events invite the public to attend.
Many fans that go to pep rallies like these often go to local Print shops first to get some supporting banner printing done. On game day, parking lots will open at 2:30 pm, and gates will open at 5:30 pm.
North Florida Sales will hold a pregame Touchdown Party in the stadium's Sky Patio from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, and a pre-game show will take place on the field starting at 7:00 pm. Tickets range from $40 to $375, and those who cannot attend may watch the game on ESPN.
The TaxSlayer Gator Bowl will take place Thursday, January 2, 2025, with the kick-off scheduled for 7:30 pm at the EverBank Stadium on the Bill Gay Grounds at 1 EverBank Stadium Drive.
