Children’s Christmas Party of Jacksonville will hold its annual event a few days before Christmas. Organizers expect about 6,000 children ages 12 and to attend, along with their parents.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will cut the ribbon to start the event. Kids can meet Santa, choose some new toys, and get a chance to win a special toy – a wagon, scooter bike, or toddler riding toy from Lucky Wheels Depot. Toys will include balls, musical instruments, games, electronics, infant toys, and learning toys for preschoolers. This year, this nonprofit organization hopes to top last year’s 20,000 toys, 50,000 novelties, and 600 wheeled items giveaway.
Local individuals and businesses are donating toys and money to buy toys for this event. Donors who give over $5,000 are listed as sponsors and can receive a Toy Booth. Members of the organization business can pass out toys or staffed by the event. Banner printing for these booths will include the organization or corporate Logo Design.
On December 18, 19, and 20, volunteers will be decorating the center with this year’s theme of ‘Frozen’. On event day, they will be passing out toys, offering entertainment, and helping with security.
The Children’s Christmas Party of Jacksonville will be Saturday, December 21 from 9:00 am until noon at the Prime F. Osborn Convention Center, 1000 Water Street.
