Jacksonville laces up running shoes to help others

For the 5th time, the annual McKenzie’s Run will allow individuals to burn some calories while supporting a good cause.

The event features a 5K run or walk and one-mile fun run. The races will end inside EverBank field where participants can catch a glimpse of themselves on the large video board.

After the race, individuals can take part in football-related activities or an obstacle course. Along with being active, participants can also enjoy live entertainment, food, and face painting. No doubt Print companies in Jacksonville have been busy creating promotional items for the event.

Depending on the time of registration, the 5K costs between $25 and $35. Teams consisting of three or more people cost $15 or $20 per person and the fun run is $10.

Funds from the event will help support 'The McKenzie Noelle Wilson Foundation'. The nonprofit organization was established in memory of McKenzie, a teenager who passed away due to a rare disease.

The establishment’s motto is ‘Care. Give. Grow’. It aims to help youth reach their goals and find purpose in a complicated world. The foundation takes part in local outreach like academic support and global initiatives that aid orphanages.
