Gate River Run, the biggest 15K event in the USA, will be held here in Jacksonville in early March.
The event will begin with an Adaptable Athlete Start at 7:52 am. This race will include athletes with disabilities. The USA 15K Championship’s 25 top seeded Elite Women will start at 7:55 am, followed by the Elite Men's Start and Wave 1 at 8:00 am. Waves, 2,3, and 4 will begin at 8:05 am, 8:10 am, and 8:15 am, respectively. The 5K will begin at 8:45 am, the Brooks Rehab Challenge Mile will be at 10:00 am, and the Junior River Run will get underway at 11:00 am.
Awards for the Championship will begin at 10:00 am on the fairgrounds stage. In total, 10 awards will be presented and prize money ($12,000 for first, $5,000 for second, $3,000 for third, and $2,000 for fourth) will be cleared by USADA and mailed afterward. The first runners (male or female) to cross the finish line will receive an extra $5,000.
A post-race celebration will begin at 6:30 pm. All 15K participants will receive moisture-wicking shirts sporting this year's event graphic design.
The race's three-day expo at the fairgrounds will have over 100 exhibitors featuring fitness-related products, shoes, and other running Apparel and accessories.
The 2024 Gate River Run will take place Saturday, March 2 at the Jacksonville Fairgrounds.
