Many Jacksonville events will not take a break on December 25 and will take place as usual.
Friendship Fountain Park, 1015 Museum Circle, will continue with its Downtown Dolphin & History Tour. The one-hour tour will be an informative and educational narrated cruise on the St. John’s River. Along with information about the river and city sites, guests can enjoy close-up encounters with the dolphins so numerous in the downtown area. Adult tickets are $18 while children’s tickets are $15.
Sweet Pete’s, 400 N. Hogan Street, will continue with its Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer Toddler Time Class. Little ones, ages two to four years old, will enjoy a sweet treat and make a reindeer-themed craft. Registration is required.
Riverside Arts Market will be open from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm. Small local businesses will be vending their wares and live entertainment will be available under the Fuller Warren Bridge at 715 Riverside Avenue.
From 2:00 to 4:00 pm, 829 Riverside Avenue will be the meet-up for a three-hour Corks and Forks Walking Tour though 5-Points and Riverside neighborhoods. The stroll will take guests to five venues offering food and cocktail pairings. The price is $89 per guest.
Participants at events such as this often ask the tour planners for their Business Cards to book future private tours.
Christmas lights will be lit in the Cathedral District’s Let There Be Light event from 5:30 pm until 9:30 pm, and at the Jacksonville Arboretum and Garden’s Dazzling Nights from 5:30 pm until 9:00 pm.
