Jacksonville goes country

Jacksonville Country Fest is returning to Jacksonville Beach in mid-September. A line-up of 60 country artists will perform across 12 stages.

Artists performing include Curt Towne Band, Firewater Tent Revival, Sarah Buxton, Kelly Archer, and Adam Hambrick.

Event day will open with the Boots on the Boardwalk 1k Fun Run. Jacksonville’s First Responders wearing their service boots will be running beside participants. Proceeds will go to Hoods for Heroes.

Picks and Pints will be a brunch. Alex Seier in his “Songwriter in the Round” will bring some of Nashville’s top songwriters and singers together to sing and share their experiences.

The festival’s premier party, Nashville Nights, will take place from 6:00 pm until 2:00 am. A dozen Nashville artists will perform on four stages.

For line dancing, country music fans can head over to Daisy Dukes and Cowboy Boots for an old-fashioned boot scooting boogie. Emily West from America’s Got Talent and Whiskey Wolves of the West will host.

Boots and Buckles will be a more formal affair but with the same performance format. A not-so-formal-affair will be Friends in Low Places, a Happy Hour party.

Fans of country music often buy merchandise with the band's Logo Design from their idols’ websites to wear at events such as this.

The Half-Pint Hootenanny will offer Kids Country Karaoke and a fun zone.

Jax Country Fest will take place at 1st Street North and along the beach on September 11 from 11:00 am, running until after midnight.
