Locals looking for something to do on July 4 are in luck, because a wide variety of activities will be taking place along St. John’s River.
At The Shipyards on Bay Street, there will be games, water fun, and caricatures. Families may also want to check out the amusing activities at Friendship Fountain Park. Both locations will be serving up some mouth-watering barbecued food, while Jacksonville Landing will have live music and drinks. In order to gain admittance to the event on the Landing, those under 21 must be in the company of somebody over that age.
As night falls, guests can see fireworks from both the north and the south banks of the river. The show will be set to patriotic music.
It is likely the event coordinators have utilized flyer printing to make a large quantity of eye-catching handouts. In order to inform locals about the event, a patriotic flyer could be passed out in high traffic areas in Jacksonville.

Non-boaters may want to take advantage of JTA’s Skyway Service. This free public transportation service will be operating from 5:00 pm until midnight. Anyone using a car can take advantage of the thousands of public parking spots in downtown.
These events will all take place on July 4, and the fireworks begin at 9:45 pm.
