The Jacksonville Symphony will be presenting a Children's Music Festival at the end of March, and Marketplace Festivals will be presenting its Spring/Easter Food Festival & Marketplace at the beginning of April.
The Children's Music Festival will be a one-day event for elementary-aged children and their families. The symphony will perform a Family Series Concert-Gershwin's Magic Key and afterwards there will be storytelling, music-themed games, and an instrument zoo, plus other interactive activities.
Adult tickets will be $10, and children's tickets will be $8. The Children's Music Festival will take place Monday, March 30 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at 300 Water Street.
Not long after, the Easter Bunny will be meeting attendees and posing for photos at the Spring/Easter Food Festival & Market place. Families occasionally take photos to local Stationery printers to be used in personalized Easter cards.
Live music will add to the festive atmosphere and door prizes will be given out hourly. Over 150 vendors will be selling everything from clothing, toys, and accessories, to Books, artwork, jewelry, and beauty items. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
General admission will be free and VIP admission will run $5. The VIP tickets will include priority seating and early admission.
The Spring/Easter Food Festival & Marketplace will be Saturday, April 5 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday, April 6 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Jacksonville Fairgrounds, 510 Fairground Place.
