Jacksonville Jazz Festival 2018 will be blowing into Jacksonville at the end of May.
A major event on the jazz calendar, 29 artists will be performing. The lineup will include Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue, Sheila E., Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Dianne Reeves, Maysa and Charles Lloyd Quartet. Other artists will be The Chris Thomas Band, Zach Bartholomew Quartet, and Eugene Groove.
Other activities will include the traditional Jazz Jam, and Keyboard Connection will once again be presenting the Jacksonville Jazz Piano Competition. Five finalists will be vying for the opportunity to perform at the festival on the Main Stage and receive a cash prize.
Artists and makers will be showcasing and vending their original works in the Jazz Marketplace right next to the Jazz Eats and Drinks area.
When the sun goes down, Jazz Fest After Dark goes into full swing. In total, 13 local venues will be presenting free live national and local jazz artists from 7:00 pm until 2:00 am.
Jazz fan will be getting online and looking around the downtown area for Promotional Products of their favorite groups.
The Jacksonville Jazz Festival 2018 will run from May 24 through May 27 on 15 blocks of Downtown Jacksonville along the St. John’s River. On the Thursday the event will open at 7:00 pm, Friday’s hours will be 5:00 pm until 11:00 pm, Saturday from 2:00 pm until 11:00 pm, and Sunday from 2:00 pm until 10:00 pm.
