Jacksonville will be celebrating the nation’s Independence Day at the ball field and on the waterfront.
This Sunday, July 3, baseball fans will be clamoring to get into Bragan field to watch corny baseball movies starting at 7:30 pm, and can end the evening with fireworks around 9:15 pm.
The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp will play the Norfolk Tides on July 4 at 121 Financial Ballpark beginning at 7:05 pm. Fans are invited to stay after the game to enjoy a huge fireworks display.
The City of Jacksonville will also be presenting its annual 4th of July Fireworks Celebration at 9:45 pm. Fireworks will be shot over the St. John River. Some prime locations will be at the Shipyards, 735 East Bay Street, 2 E Independent Drive, and the Venue 841 Riverfront.
This will be the 3rd year for the Venue 841’s Fourth of July on the River. Along with food from local food trucks and a cash bar, there will be live entertainment, jumbo yard games, and bounce houses. The fun will start at 6:00 pm and everyone is encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs to enjoy the fireworks.
Tickets are $15 for adults and free for children. Venue 841 Riverfront Weddings & Events is located at 841 Prudential Drive.
