The 2021 Jacksonville Light Boat Parade has been scheduled for late November.
All captains and crews are invited to decorate their crafts in Christmas lights and participate in this annual procession down the St. Johns River.
The parade will start at the Hyatt Regency Riverfront Hotel. It will proceed to the Fuller Warren Bridge following the North Bank Riverwalk. At the bridge, the boats will cross over to the south bank and continue back along the Southbank Riverwalk. The pageant will end at the Duval County School Board building.
Spectators can get good views of the vessels on either bank along the St. Johns North and Southbank Riverwalks.
Participating crafts will be judged in four categories: corporate, sailboat, boats over 30 feet, and boats under 30 feet. Judges will be looking for decoration composition and overall appearance. Participation in the parade will be free but registration is required.
A 904 Pop Up on Riverfront Plaza will run from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm. More than 200 small business artists, crafters, and other creative makers will be selling their creations and products.
Many Jacksonville holiday shoppers often collect Business Cards from those vendors selling items they particularly enjoy. The evening will end with fireworks over the water.
This year’s Jacksonville Light Boat Parade will take place November 27 starting at 6:00 pm along the St. Johns River in Downtown Jacksonville.
