Jacksonville artists invited to workshop

John Beard, a noted American artist, will be hosting a two-day art workshop called Painting with Nontraditional tools in a few days’ time.

Beard will be sharing his instinctive, expressive, and spontaneous approach to art. He will also be helping attendees explore their execution, methods, and senses in their work. Drinks, music, and snacks will be available in order to keep the creative and physical energy high.

Guests will get the use of nontraditional tool kits for the duration of the event and may purchase them on the last day. Difference painting methods in acrylics using nontraditional tools will be discussed, and a judge-free space will be provided where artists can tap into their own experiences and inspiration. Feedback and interpretation will be welcome. At the end of the event, attendees’ work will be presented in a gallery-style setting.

Print shops and printing services may wish to send a representative from their graphic design or Logo Design departments to take a fresh look into how to create with nontraditional tools.

The art workshop will be Saturday, February 10 and Sunday, February 11 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at the John Beard Studio, 8820 Corporate Square Cr. #408, Jacksonville. The workshop is for serious artists who are at least from 17 years old. Interested parties need to make reservations as soon as possible because registration closes on February 7.
