The Taste of Summer festival is taking place in just over a week’s time, presented by the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce.
There will be plenty of activities taking place throughout the day, including live musical performances at three locations by acts such as Salsa Brava, Grant Ruiz and the Dancing Fools, a beer garden and food vendors, while the Jacksonville Kiwanis Club will be handing out snow cones at Rasmussen's. There is set to be a wine walk that will feature the sampling of 22 local wineries at various establishments. Tickets are $30 each and only 400 will be sold, with which everyone will receive a souvenir wine glass.
Several car clubs from all over the area will be exhibiting classic cars and trailers along California Street, and the Artisans’ Alley is expected to feature glass art, wooden Signs, homemade instruments, and many other handmade items. The Presence Art Center will also be holding a wine and bacon pairing class, at which there will be sampling.
Local printing companies were no doubt asked to help advertise this event both in the city and surrounding communities such as Medford by providing Flyers.
