Jacksonville children will have egg hunt options or they may elect to watch an Easter parade, as three events are scheduled for April 20, the Saturday before Easter.
Adventure Landing has scheduled is 24th Annual Easter Hunt. The event organizers guarantee that every egg will contain a fantastic prize. Hunts will begin at 9:00, 10:00, and 11:00 am. Children will be grouped into three categories according to age. Larger prizes will be raffled off after the hunts. Benefits will go to the American Red Cross Volunteer Lifesaving Corp.
St. Augustine will be presenting its annual Easter Parade beginning at 9:00 am. It will start at the Old Jail Museum at 167 San Marco Avenue and will end in downtown St. Augustine. Usually units in parades such as this get some banner printing done before the big event every year to freshen up their appearance.
For something a little different, Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens, 370 Zoo Parkway, will be hosting ‘Eggscursion’. This will be an egg hunt, but baskets will not be necessary, because guests will be invited to find egg Signs that will be hidden throughout the zoo. Those who do will have their names entered in the zoo’s contest. The winner will receive a grand prize.
Goodies Bags will be available; spring-themed crafts will keep the little ones busy, and there will be photo opportunities. The fee will be standard Jacksonville Zoo admission.
